Description.
Tactile cones are used for safety and orientation of visually impaired people in public spaces.
Aluminium tactile indicator without pin D35×5 (for internal installation. Mounted on 3M double-sided tape).
They perform several important functions:
- Indication of obstacles: Tactile cones help to identify the beginning of potential obstacles such as stairs, escalators, or road crossings. This is critical for the safety of people with visual impairments.
- Tactile sensation: They can be felt underfoot or through a tactile cane, allowing visually impaired people to sense their presence.
- Visual cueing: For people with partial vision impairment, haptic cones help to visually identify obstacles.
- Easy to install: Thanks to the double-sided tape, tactile cones are easy to install on most surfaces.
